Recently, a number of volunteers at the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway at Midsomer Norton helped load up shunting locomotive D1120, which is leaving the railway for a few months whilst it has vacuum brakes fitted and small repairs completed.
The work is costing several thousand pounds, but has been funded by one of the railways members.
When the locomotive does return to the railway, likely to be early 2021, the locomotive will be able to operate passenger trains.
