LMS ‘Scot’ No. 46100 ‘Royal Scot’ will be passing through Sheffield tomorrow as it hauls a special railtour on Saturday, 22nd August 2020.
The Scot will be hauling a tour from Crewe to York and back.
Departing Wolverhampton at 06:05, the train will be hauled by a heritage diesel. Once the train has departed Wolverhampton, it will pass through Codsall (06:12), Telford Central (06:29), Wellington (06:40), Shrewsbury (07:02), Whitchurch (07:35), and Crewe at 08:00.
With 46100 Royal Scot now attached to the train, the railtour departs Crewe at 08:30 and will pass through Warrington Bank Quay (09:00), Newton-le-Willows (09:16), Eccles (09:35), Manchester Victoria (09:49), Edale (11:25), Grindleford (11:37), Sheffield (11:52), Moorthorpe (12:28), Church Fenton (13:22), and York at 13:42.
After a break in York of around 3 hours, the tour then departs York at 16:55 and will pass through Church Fenton (17:11), Hebden Bridge (18:49), Rochdale (19:09), Miles Platting (19:53), Manchester Victoria (19:58), Newton-le-Willows (20:32), Warrington Bank Quay (20:47) and Crewe at 21:20.
The heritage diesels will take over the train at Crewe and will depart at 22:01, and will then head back to Wolverhampton, passing through Whitchurch (22:24), Shrewsbury (22:49), Wellington (23:08), Telford Central (23:18), Codsall (23:34) and Wolverhampton at 23:50.
