CrossCountry has announced that they have received the ‘We’re Good to Go’ seal of approval from Visit Britain.
“We’re Good To Go” is a UK-wide industry-standard mark that shows off businesses who are working hard to follow Government guidelines.
Since the start of the outbreak, CrossCountry has introduced a number of measures to ensure passengers feel safe when using their trains.
CrossCountry passengers, like staff, must use face coverings when in stations or onboard trains.
Ben Simkin, Commercial Director at CrossCountry said: “We’re delighted to gain ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation, which is testament to the hard work and commitment of our teams who have worked hard to ensure we have all the appropriate measures in place so that our customers feel safe when travelling with us. I hope that it will encourage customers to get out and about this summer where possible and travel in confidence.”

What amazes me that since the local pandemic has arrived overcrowded 4 coach 220 are now 8/9 coaches. I sincerely hope this can continue after this (hopefully) situation returns to something normal. …..!!!

I agree. To run services from Aberdeen to Penzance, Plymouth to Glasgow (and many others) is an achievement. Plus: the on-board staff, whether based at Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Newcastle and other places are always pleasant and helpful.
CrossCountry are still the best train operator that does long distance rail journeys from Cornwall to the Northwest, Northeast, Manchester and Yorkshire. They also operate services from Stansted Airport to the Midlands and parts of Wales.
Good to hear about CrossCountry to be given the approval to have the ‘We’re Good To Go’ approval from Visit Britain. And in few years they be inheriting the Class 221 Voyagers from Avanti West Coast because of the new Class 805 and Class 807 AT300s will replace the Class 221 and to enter service from 2021/2022.
