The Ffestiniog Railway are going to be rolling back the years as they have announced their reopening date.
On the 20th July 2020, the Ffestiniog Railway will begin running a train service between Porthmadog and Tan-y-bwlch.
The FR’s heritage carriages will be running to Tan-y-bwlch just like they did in the 1960s.
The new-look summer service will be different to normal, but the Ffestiniog Railway are aiming to make it an enjoyable experience for visitors.
There will be no other trains running on either the Ffestiniog or Welsh Highland Railways at the present time.
Six departures will operate from Harbour Station at 10:00, 11:05, 12:10, 13:15, 14:20 and 15:25. Journey times will be 2 hours and 45 minutes long, including an hour at Tan-y-bwlch.
Passenger must arrive at Porthmadog Harbour Station 30 minutes before departure; this will allow passengers to purchase refreshments and select their compartment.
Online ticket sales will go live on their website from 14th July.
Ticket prices start from £50 per compartment, which includes the fare for two adults. Tickets for each additional adult cost £25.
