The Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) has released details of an incident involving a track worker near Leighton Buzzard.
On the 16th of June 2020 at around 4:28 in the afternoon, a track worker was working on the West Coast Mainline north of the station at Leighton Buzzard. They were carrying out a vegetation survey on behalf of a contractor.
An Avanti West Coast service was on a journey from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street when it came close to striking the track worker in an area with limited clearance.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The RAIB have carried out a preliminary examination and having assessed the evidence, have decided to publish a safety digest in the next few weeks.

Could of been lot worse but glad that nobody wasn’t hurt or killed. Dangerous job working on the railways.
