All who nominate are entered into a prize draw for a £50 dinner voucher at one of the highly-rated eateries, along with First Class train travel to anywhere on the LNER route.

The most nominated restaurants are to be crowned ‘Local Gems’. A detailed review of each of the gems will also be produced on the LNER website which will provide inspiration for anyone visiting Harrogate via train.

To take part and nominate, visit LNER’s Local Gem page. The competition is now open and will continue till Wednesday 26th August 2020.

David Flesher, Head of Marketing at LNER, stated: “We love celebrating local businesses in the destinations our trains serve. We want to inspire our customers to visit the restaurants, food markets and cafes that are unique to Harrogate and have been greatly missed throughout lockdown.

“We’re excited to discover what makes certain places so unmissable and plan on publishing the best nominations on our website. After a difficult few months for the hospitality sector, we look forward to raising awareness of some of the area’s local gems. With convenient train travel from destinations such as London, Newcastle and Edinburgh, we want to encourage those visiting Harrogate to sample some amazing food spots when they get here.”
