The West Somerset Railway has told RailAdvent that the railway’s emergency funding appeal is steaming towards £175,000.
The current figures show that the appeal currently stands at £174,715.15, this is an increase in £4,000 in the last week.
The West Somerset Railway is trying to reach £500,000 as an estimate in what it is going to need to beat the COVID-19 impact.

West Somerset Railway Association – £30,705.00
- Rail Renewal offline – £27,595.00

West Somerset Steam Railway Trust – £2,276.89
Total – £174,715.15
With passenger trains unlikely to return to the WSR until Easter 2021, the railway plan that £500,000 should cover fixed costs, along with costs to prepare the railway for when reopening is appropriate.

Once Again, the West Somerset Railway have so far proven Successful in Fundraising such A Hugely Gigantic Amount to help Fight Back/Combat the Dreary Covid-19 in Anyways Possible.
I do hope the Wonderful WSR Reopen Back Up an Running soon once again, Especially within the Foreseeable Future…. I’d still look forward to visiting and ride this Wonderful Heritage Railway Attraction ‘in-person’ someday.
