GB Railfreight and CEMEX have unveiled a new train service that will run from Dove Holes Quarry, in Buxton, to Crawley.
This was the first train that has been operated by GBRf to Crawley with the products transported on cut and shut hoppers, which have been repurposed from coal hoppers.
The train consisted of 22 wagons, weighing a total of 1675 tonnes, exceeding other deliveries to Crawley by 350 tonnes.
The first train arrived in Crawley on Saturday 18th April 2020.
Once normal business has resumed, the new service between Dove Holes and Crawley is expected to run once a week.

We have a longstanding relationship and the new service, which is expected to run once a week once operations are back to normal is testament to the successful partnership we have forged.

We look forward to running more services in the coming weeks and months.”

So it’s going from Buxton, Derbyshire to Crawley, West Sussex. Any ideas of what route it will take (including going via the West Coast Main Line).
