Fife Heritage Railway has set up a fundraising appeal, seeking donations to support the line during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Like every preserved railway in the UK forced to close since late March 2020, Coronavirus has had a major impact on Fife Heritage Railway, likely setting development of the line back by a couple of years.
With the operation of trains stopped for the foreseeable future, the railway has launched an appeal.
Hoping to raise £10,000, donations will help to pay for fixed costs while the line earns no income from no passenger trains running.
Any donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated by the line and its volunteers.

About Fife Heritage Railway
Following the closure of Lochty Private Railway in 1992, The Kingdom of Fife Railway Preservation Society (KFRPS) after nine years of searching, developed a new home for their collections of rolling stock at Kirkland Yard. Since then, further work has seen the site open to the public from 2008, restoring rolling stock to running order and laying more track. COVID-19 threatens the survival of Fife Heritage Railway.
