New General Infrastructure Manager for GB Railfreight

GB Railfreight has confirmed that Alex Kirk has been selected for the General Infrastructure Manager role within their company.

Alex brings invaluable knowledge and experience from his previous positions at Network Rail, serving as Route Freight Manager in Wales and Route Logistics Manager in Wessex, where he first met the team he will now work with.

Growth within GBRf in recent years has led to the company becoming a major firm in rail freight in the UK, accounting for 23% of all UK rail cargo, with their over 52,000 trainloads a year bring £200,000,000 in annual revenues.

With the UK slowly recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19, Alex and his department are set to play a key role in ensuring products shipped by GBRf are transported efficiently and effectively.

I am extremely pleased that Alex has joined us as the team’s General Infrastructure Manager.
