Coronavirus update from the Ffestiniog Railway – including launch for steam locomotive Welsh Pony

Ffestiniog Railway team up with PCSO to urge public to be vigilant

The Ffestiniog and have released an update on a few events due to take place this year but are now affected by .

The original event which would have seen “Welsh Pony” return to passenger service in June 2020, this has now be cancelled.

The line is now making plans which could see the event take place during the annual Victorian Weekend event in the Autumn, but details will be confirmed closer to the time.

Journey Into The Past

Unfortunately, the heritage tours planned to take place throughout August 2020 have been cancelled. Hopefully, they will be coming back in 2021.

Young Persons Training Week

This yearly event which takes place in August is also cancelled. Anyone who was due to visit the railway for this event will be contacted to discuss the next steps, as the line’s group of young volunteers are very important.
