Southeastern Trains will Toot the horns on their trains to take part in the Clap for Carers today Thursday 23th April.
Drivers will first do one long toot along with eight shorter ones, spelling N H S out in Morse Code.
It’s planned for up to 50 trains to take part in London, Kent and East Sussex areas, with the best places for listening to the toots being Victoria, Cannon Street, Charing Cross, Hayes and Tonbridge station and depots in Slade Green, Ramsgate, Gillingham, St Leonards-On-Sea and Ashford.
Anyone who is nearby is encouraged, where safe to do so, to share the toots on social media with hashtag #TootforCarers.

David Statham, Managing Director of Southeastern Trains, said

But what is happening to the Class 376s when the Class 707s have entered service on the metro/suburban routes in Southeast London (including Hayes and Dartford). Will Southeastern transfer the Class 376s to work on services to North Kent and Medway (including Rochester, Gillingham, Strood, Faversham and Sittingbourne). And possibly to Ashford International, Maidstone and Canterbury. Or will the Class 376s might be cascaded elsewehere such as to Southern.
