The Isle of Man Steam Railway and Manx Electric Railway has announced that they have teamed up to host a range of interactive events via their websites and social media pages.
This announcement follows the suspension of operations and the cancellation of Easter events.
The two heritage attractions are hosting events such as guided photographic tours, behind the scenes videos and a virtual recreation of the Foxdale Line, which is closed.
All of this can be enjoyed from the safety of your home.
Events will take place from Friday 10th to Monday 13th April on the Manx Electric Railway‘s Social Media pages and the Isle of Man Steam Railway‘s social media.

What did they say?
A joint statement from members of both organisations states:
“‘Rush Hour’ was expected to be an action-packed event for enthusiasts and locals alike,
and we didn’t want to miss this chance to make sure fans of the railways can still enjoy
them during these turbulent times. We hope the event will reach people across the globe,
who will join the many enthusiasts keen to make a journey to the Isle of Man once the
unique Victorian railways and tramways return to service.”

I always wanted to go to the Isle of Man and to ride on the Manx Electric Railway and Isle of Man Steam Railway. Such a lovely little island with such great history on the Irish Sea between England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. With Douglas being capital city of Isle of Man.
