The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway have warned potential visitors to stay away from the railways this Easter and spend the time staying at home.
The railway has spent the winter months working hard to make sure the railways, which run from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog, and from Porthmadog to Caernarfon respectively, were ready to welcome passengers again.
North Wales’ shops, attractions, beaches and mountain areas have all closed.
The whole area will be waiting for visitors when it is safe for us all to return after the Coronavirus pandemic.
At RailAdvent we are doing what we can to support the Ffestiniog Railway.
Our Victorian Weekend DVD is still available, and for every copy sold we are donating £5 to their appeal. Please click here for details and view a trailer.
From all here at RailAdvent – please stay at home this Easter, and stay safe.

My heart (as with my full support) goes out to both the Well-Restored and Historic
Narrow-Gauge Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, Especially to the fascinating fleets of
Locos and Rolling Stock,
Let alone the crews, volunteers and working backbone behind these 2 remarkably Historic Narrow-Gauge Railways out there in the part of the Wonderful West of the Border/Wales – of whom it has to offer.
As with the Ffestiniog (Along with the Welsh Highland) Every Other Heritage Railway – (Standard Gauge, Narrow Gauge and 15-inch/Minimum Gauge) is all full of character and Colorfully Well Represented as each their Popularity lets on.
