Greater Anglia has announced that NHS staff can now pick up Easter treats donated by passengers from stations in the Cambridge area.
Hundreds of Easter eggs are available for NHS staff at Cambridge, Cambridge North and Ely railway stations.
Every year, Easter treats are donated and distributed to local charities and hospitals. This year, the decision was made to give them to the hardworking NHS staff.
NHS staff passing through Cambridge, Cambridge North and Ely can ask a member of staff for an egg.
Greater Anglia is currently operating a revised timetable as part of the national effort to deal with the Coronavirus outbreak.
What did the officials say?
Mike Barry, Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, said:
“We know several members of NHS staff use our services to get to and from work and we would like to show our appreciation to them.
“We also would like to thank our very generous customers donating the Easter eggs and supporting our annual Easter egg drive.”
