Northern has announced that a new amended timetable will come into effect from Monday 30th March 2020 to help keep key workers on the move.
Changes are being made to the timetable following feedback received from key workers.
The services remain for key workers only, and the advice to everyone else is still to stay at home.
Full details of Northern‘s key workers timetable for Monday 30th March to Saturday 4th April can be found via the Northern Trains website.
Please note Northern’s temporary timetables are subject to change.

Northern needs to sort out some of their services including services in the Northeast of England and to bring in extra trains to increase more capacity and extra trains to operate across the Northeast including Hartlepool, Whitby, Saltburn, Battersby, Middlesbrough, Redcar Central, Bishop Auckland and a new East Coast local stopper service from York to Newcastle and Berwick-Upon-Tweed. If CAF were to manufacture extra Class 195 and Class 331 Civity’s for Northern to operate services in Northeast England.
