It has been confirmed that a person has been hit by a train between Lancaster and Preston.
This incident now means that all lines are blocked.
Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 90 minutes.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Avanti West Coast passengers may use the following train operators to complete their journey:
- LNER services between Edinburgh and London King’s Cross to complete your journey
- ScotRail between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street
- Northern between Preston and Leeds
Northern Travel Advice:
Road replacement transport has been requested to operate between Preston and Lancaster.
