No trains to Pwllheli or Aberystwyth as Storm Ciara shuts line

Transport for Wales has confirmed that no trains will be running on the Cambrian Coast line until next week.

Storm Ciara brought heavy rain and strong winds on Sunday 9th February 2020.

Flooding has damaged the railway at , between Dovey Junction and , at Llanaber and Criccieth

A rail replacement bus service will operate between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth / Pwllheli.

The earliest estimate for the line to fully reopen is Monday 17th February.

This means that no trains will serve the following: Dovey Junction, Borth, Aberystwyth, Penhelig, , Tywyn, Fairbourne, Barmouth, Harlech, , Penrhyndeudraeth, , Criccieth, and Pwllheli.

This closure may affect your plans at Half Term if you want to visit the Ffestiniog Railway, the Talyllyn Railway, the Fairbourne Railway or either of the Welsh Highland Railways by rail.
