Transport for Wales has confirmed that no trains will be running on the Cambrian Coast line until next week.
Storm Ciara brought heavy rain and strong winds on Sunday 9th February 2020.
Flooding has damaged the railway at Dovey Junction, between Dovey Junction and Tywyn, at Llanaber and Criccieth
A rail replacement bus service will operate between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth / Pwllheli.
Rail Replacement Bus timetables can be viewed here and here.
The earliest estimate for the line to fully reopen is Monday 17th February.
This means that no trains will serve the following: Dovey Junction, Borth, Aberystwyth, Penhelig, Aberdovey, Tywyn, Fairbourne, Barmouth, Harlech, Talsarnau, Penrhyndeudraeth, Porthmadog, Criccieth, and Pwllheli.
This closure may affect your plans at Half Term if you want to visit the Ffestiniog Railway, the Talyllyn Railway, the Fairbourne Railway or either of the Welsh Highland Railways by rail.

Shame there’s no trains on my local, but having seen some of the damage they could not run a loco up there let alone a passenger service. It’s physycally Impossible.
