The has announced that it has purchased a strip of woodland flanking to the rear at Stogumber Station.

The land has been purchased thanks to the funding from Stogumber Station.

In addition to being a natural home for wildlife, the land has a number of oak trees that date back to 1862 when the station first opened.

The purchase safeguards the character of the popular station for the enjoyment of its many visitors and for future generations to come.

  1. Remember years ago a family of Buzzards flying out if that wood. Big decision as to watching the Buzzards or the passing train!!
Great to know it will remain protected.
