Heathrow Express has been rated the best rail service in the UK by passengers for the 4th time running.

With 96% overall satisfaction in the Autumn 2019 National Rail Passenger Survey, it puts 2% above other operators. It is also above the national average of 82%.

Speed and reliability were the stand out parts, showing the value of the non-stop Heathrow Express service to the airport. This is in addition to passengers appreciating the space for luggage, power sockets and comfort of the seats.

The survey is conducted by the independent watchdog Transport Focus who collect passenger opinions twice a year.

What did the officials say?

Les Freer, Heathrow Express Director, said:

“We’re immensely proud to be named top in the National Rail Passenger Service for the fourth time running. To be rated so highly by our customers who continue to enjoy our fast, frequent and reliable service reflects the work of our expert team to deliver industry leading customer service.”

“This year we’ll introduce a new fleet of trains complete with fast on board WiFi, at seat USB power, HD televisions and Business First to help us continue to deliver the same Heathrow Express experience for years to come.”

  1. When is Heathrow Express bringing out the 12 modified Class 387/1 Electrostar units (387130-387142) in service which they are replacing the Class 332s. I thought they were going to introduce them in service last month. But there isn’t no information about their introduction to the modified Class 387/1.
