Merseyrail has announced that they are to be the Executive Sponsor of the Liverpool Echo Environment Awards for the fourth year running.

The Liverpool Echo Environment Awards give people an opportunity to show the work that they have been doing over the last year. The awards recognise the contribution people in the area make towards a healthier, and greener connected region.

Merseyrail themselves were recognised last year for their environment and community successes at the British Quality Awards.

For the Ainsdale Station redevelopment, they also picked up the CEEQUAL Exceptional Achievement Award for Community and Stakeholder relations
