Avanti West Coast has announced that overhead electric wires have been damaged between Lancaster and Oxenholme Lake District.
This has now caused all lines to be blocked on the West Coast Mainline.
Train services between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Disruption is expected to last until end of service
