Pony Trucks

The hundreds of hours spent building both pony trucks are nearing the end, with the last major steps being final assembly and planning out the lubrication system for the moving parts of the trucks.

Discussions on lubrication are ongoing, while the final assembly of the pony trucks is planned to take place next to the engine in the erecting shop.

Pull rods have been delivered to the SVR where bushes etc can be fitted. In order to produce pipes for the vacuum, steam heat, injector and balance pipe, the water tanks will need to be temporarily fitted to the frame.

The combination levels & union links and longitudinal & transverse firebox stays have been delivered to SVR.
