LNER have announced that tickets for the HST Farewell tour have gone on sale.
The railtour is to mark the end of the Intercity 125 on the East Coast Main Line services from London to Leeds and Scotland, as new Azuma trains are replacing the Class 43s.
The railtour will be hauled by a class 43 set which has been repainted into its original blue and yellow colour scheme when the set was built in 1978.
The four-day itinerary, from the 18th of December to the 21st of December, takes the HST from Edinburgh to Inverness on day one, from Inverness to Edinburgh on day two, from Edinburgh to Leeds via York on day three, then finally from Leeds to London Kings Cross on the fourth and final day.
Tickets begin at £90.00 and are ONE WAY ONLY, and can be bought on the UK railtours website found here.
If you do go out and see the last LNER HST service, please share your photos on LocoStop, as we would love to see them!
