LMS ‘Black 5’ No. 45305 Alderman A E Draper will be on the mainline today (24th November 2019) as it hauls the Polar Express.

The Polar Express trains are run yearly by Vintage Trains, last year, they had 4965 Rood Ashton Hall, but this year, thanks to a deal between Vintage Trains and The 5305 Locomotive Association, Black 5 45305 will be being used.

The trains are run between Tyseley Up and Down Thro Sidings and Birmingham Moor Street.

They run 4 times today, meaning you will have plenty of opportunities to see the locomotive today.
