Ex-LNER ‘A1’ No. 60153 ‘Tornado’ will be in Gloucester this Saturday as it hauls a railtour to Shrewsbury.
Departing Eastleigh behind a diesel locomotive, the train will pass through Basingstoke (06:56), Reading West (07:29), Didcot Parkway (07:51), Swindon (08:15), Kemble (08:34), Stroud (08:53), Stonehouse (09:01) and Gloucester at 09:18.
Here, Tornado takes charge of the train and will pass through Chepstow (10:11), Cwmbran (10:50), Abergavenny (11:06), Hereford (12:13), Ludlow (13:01) and Shrewsbury at 13:42.
The return journey will depart Shrewsbury at 16:12 and will pass through Ludlow (16:53), Hereford (17:27), Cwmbran (18:14), Caldicot (19:16), Lydney (19:32) and Gloucester at 19:54.
Here, the diesel locomotive will take back charge of the train and will pass through Stonehouse (20:47), Stroud (20:55), Kemble (21:14), Swindon (21:31), Didcot Parkway (21:56), Reading West (22:28), Basingstoke (22:48), and Eastleigh at6 23:32.
