ScotRail is showing its support for the Scottish Poppy Appeal with a range of fundraising and remembrance activity.
Memorial services will take place at Ayr station, Glasgow Central and Edinburgh Waverley at 11 am on Armistice Day, Monday, 11 November.
ScotRail and Network Rail will invite passengers to join them in a two-minute silence.
Poppyscotland volunteers and pop-up shops are in place at Glasgow Central, Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket until Sunday, 10 November.
Customers can also buy poppies and donate to the Scottish Poppy Appeal through collection tins at ticket offices in staffed ScotRail stations.
ScotRail hopes that donations will surpass the record-breaking fundraising total of £127,912 set last year.
What did the officials say?
James Ledgerwood, ScotRail Head of Economic Development & Communities, said:
“I am exceptionally proud that Scotland’s Railway is supporting Poppyscotland once again this year.
“We should never fail to remember the sacrifice of those who have served, and those who continue to serve, our country.
“It’s the donations we make now that helps this excellent charity do its work all year round.”
