Residents in Cheadle Hulme are being invited by Network Rail to find out more about work to rebuild a footbridge over the railway between Cheadle Hulme and Handforth stations.
The bridge provides access between Heathbank Road and Hulme Hall Close.
Work will see the bridge be rebuilt to ensure it remains safe and reliable for passengers and local people.
Residents and footbridge users are invited to find out more about the work at Ryecroft Park Sports Club (Park Avenue, Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6EU) on Thursday (14 November), between 4pm and 7pm, when Network Rail will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the work.
To carry out the work, the footbridge will be closed to the public from 6 December 2019 until mid-February 2020.
