UPDATE 16/10 @ 16:00: Disruption now cleared

UPDATE 16/10 @ 14:00: Lines have now reopened, however, trains are still subject to cancellation and delay.
Disruption expected to last until 17:00

Animals have been reported on the railway near Derby and Stoke-on-Trent and are causing disruption to train services in the area.

Train services are subject to cancellation, delay or are revised at this time.

National Rail Enquiries anticipate disruption will continue until 14:00.

East Midlands Railway is currently experiencing the delay to their services towards and away from the capital.
