The Apedale Valley Light Railway has announced two further visiting steam locos for their 50th anniversary gala.

The gala will be held on September 21 & 22.

Courtesy of Graham Lee and the team at Statfold, Number 3128 “Roger” will be making a very welcome return visit to Apedale. This loco was last at Apedale in 2017, when it put in an impressive performance on various freight trains.

Secondly, thanks to the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway, the railway will be welcoming “Rishra”.

These visitors add to the line-up of “Kidbrooke” – visiting from Yaxham, “Edgar” debuting on passenger trains plus the home fleet.

The weekened will see a once-only opportunity to travel on the Field Railway.
