Vintage Trains has announced that Southern Railway “Battle of Britain” Class No.34053 “Sir Keith Park” will be joining the in steam line-up at Tyseley Locomotives Works Vintage Weekend.
About “Sir Keith Park”
The “Battle of Britain” Class has been at Tyseley undergoing bottom-end repairs, to the axleboxes etc.
Following completion, owners Southern Locomotives Ltd have agreed to allow 34053 to stay for the event.
After the weekend, the engine will return home to the Swanage Railway.
About the Vintage Weekend
Vintages Trains annual open weekend takes place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of September.
Joining 34053 in steam is Great Western Railway 4073 “Castle Class” No.7029 “Clun Castle” and GWR 5700 Pannier Class No.7752, with stalls and tours around the site taking place too. To order your advanced discounted tickets, click here.
