DRS director comes runner up at Rail Freight Group Awards

Direct Rail Services has announced that one of their directors has been recognised for her contributions to the rail industry and making a difference to the lives of colleagues.

Natasha Hanson, Business Services Director, was awarded ‘runner up’ in the Outstanding Individual Contribution Award at the Rail Freight Group’s awards ceremony last week.

The new approach centred around DRS colleagues’ health and well-being, focussing on their work-life balance.

What did the officials say?

On receiving the award Natasha said:

“I was honoured just be nominated and it was a huge surprise to have been named as runner up. I am deeply passionate about ensuring our workforce is happy, supported and feel empowered to drive changes in their working lives.

“We’ve done a lot at DRS but there is still much more to do. I’ll be continuing our work but also rolling out new initiatives around mental health and more work diversifying our workforce.

“I’m immensely proud of our achievements and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has worked so hard to make this happen.”
