Where to see a steam locomotive 48151 and 45690 Leander in Blaenau Ffestiniog this Saturday

UPDATE: The locomotives now down to haul this tour are BOTH 48151 and 45690 Leander

Celebrating the reopening of the Conwy Valley line, a special railtour is running this Saturday from Chester.

Departing Chester at 09:34, the train will pass through Rhyl (10:15), Colwyn Bay (10:31), Llandudno Junction (10:39), Tal-y-Cafn (11:54), North Llanrwst (12:06) and Blaenau Ffestiniog at 13:05.

Departing Blaenau Ffestiniog at 16:00, the tour will pass through North Llanrwst (16:49), Tal-y-Cafn (17:08), Llandudno Junction (17:19), Rhyl (18:35) and Chester at 19:15.

These are all the timings currently available on Real Time Trains, so apologies if your local station is not listed.

    1. During its light engine test run, there were a few teething problems found, which means its loaded test run was cancelled, so wont be certified for mainline running until that takes place.
