The National Railway Museum has announced that steam locomotive Rocket is coming to their York site this September.
Whilst they already have a replica of Rocket, which recently returned to steam, this is the original Rocket.
Rocket was built for the 1829 Rainhill show by George Stephenson, and is an icon for the world of steam locomotives.
The original Rocket will be arriving at York on the 26th September 2019.
At the National Railway Museum, you can get up and close with Rocket and other icons like Mallard.
