Greater Anglia has announced that the bargain tickets for the Bucket and Spade trains to Walton on the Naze have sold out, but there are currently still tickets available for a similar trip to Southend.
The ‘Bucket and Spade’ specials run from Colchester to Walton on the Naze on the 15th August, and from Billericay to Southend on the 22nd August.
The special tickets are just £5 return for adults and £3 return for children. The tickets can be purchased online only from the Essec and South Suffolk Community Rail Partnership website at www.esscrp.org.uk http://www.esscrp.org.uk
The trains will be decorated with a seaside theme with fun onboard and a free bucket and spade for every child.

Lynda Stone, Community Rail Partnership Officer for Essex County Council said
“Families will be able to spend the day enjoying all that Walton on the Naze or Southend has to offer and return at their leisure by any train.”
Alan Neville, Greater Anglia‘s Customer and Community Engagement Manager, said
“A day out by rail offers so much fun for families and it’s so easy and cheap. We expect this trip to be a sell-out success.”
