Always close to the local community, the recently held their popular Summer event of the ‘Flower Train’ running on the railway.

This beautiful florally decorated train has now been running as a special evening excursion for the past 30 years and is organised by Tywyn Gardening Club.

The train ran to Abergynolwyn Station where the usual Talyllyn Railway refreshments were available. An entertaining programme of songs was then presented on the station platform to a crowded and appreciative audience by our own Côr Meibion Bro Dysynni.

The photograph shows members of the Garden Club committee proudly showing off their Engine Front floral arrangement.

The evening offered a very reasonable excursion on the railway; an event that has been running annually since the early 1980’s. The Garden Club run a raffle to cover the small costs of the choir.
