The Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway are to celebrate the arrival of the summer with their Summer Steam & Beer Extravaganza over the weekend of the 13th and 14th July 2019.
The railway was first established in 1948 and from humble beginnings as a standalone miniature railway, it is now the No.1 tourist attraction in North East Lincolnshire.
To mark the summer period, the railway is pulling out everything it has to give visitors a fantastic weekend for all the family.
To please enthusiasts, an intensive timetable will be in operation throughout the weekend featuring residents from the railway plus two very special visiting steam locomotives.
Trains will run on the 13th & 14th July from 10:00 am. All attractions are subject to availability.
At Lakeside Station, there will be steam displays and shuttle trains: home to the ‘Smallest Pub on the Planet’.
There will be ample ales and ciders available to please all tastes and Sheffield band Kingfisher Blue will be providing entertainment at 7:30 pm on Saturday evening.
The two visitors will be 0-4-0STT St Egwin from the Evesham Vale Light Railway and 0-6-0 Sandy from the private Wotton Light Railway in Wotton Underwood, Buckinghamshire.

“We thought it was appropriate to celebrate the arrival of summer in style. With the school
holidays just around the corner, it is a good opportunity for us to offer something special.”
