Dovetail Games has announced that they are going to release Train Sim World 2020 next month.
Train Sim World 2020 is the next generation of train simulator, following on from the popular Train Sim World, which brought stunning graphics and gameplay to the simulator world.
The next edition will release on the 15th August 2019 and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows 10.
Included in the base game will be the following routes:
- Great Western Express
- Main-Spessart Bahn
- Long Island Rail Road
- Northern Trans-Pennine
- CSX Heavy Haul (Windows PC only)
What’s new in Train Sim World 2020?
The new ‘Journey’ system blends together more than 24 hours of sequential gameplay for each route. Start a Journey on any route and enjoy hundreds of scenarios, service timetables, and jobs to complete around the railway.
Improved tutorials and scoring will teach new players all they need to know.
Players can check their performance during each scenario with the new Action Points System, this rewards you for completing objectives and driver accuracy.
The main menu offers players the chance to take a look at the selected locomotive before heading out on the rails, and with Train Sim World 2020, you’ll be able to toggle between different dioramas to display them on.
It’s now even easier to navigate the main menu, with a streamlined design you’ll be in-game quicker than ever before.
I Already own Train Sim World?
If you already own Train Sim World, then you will get all the new features as part of an update, regardless of what content you own. For the new routes, e.g. Northern TransPennine, then you will have the option to upgrade to get any of them you dont own at a discounted price.
Train Sim World 2020: Digital Deluxe Edition
Dovetail will have a Digital Deluxe Edition on offer that includes a brand-new west coast USA route! This route will also be available separately, and will release at the same time as Train Sim World 2020 on August 15th.
