East Midlands Trains has confirmed the services it will be running for passengers during the three Saturdays of industrial action being carried out by the RMT.
The strikes will be carried out on Saturday 20 July, Saturday 27 July and Saturday 3 August.
Services to and from London will not be impacted and will run as planned, while services will continue to run on a number of local routes.
Please do check before travelling on these dates, trains may be busier than usual
Summary of services running on Saturday 20 July, Saturday 27 July and Saturday 3 August:
Services to and from London
- Services will continue to run as normal.
Derby to Matlock
- A reduced service will run on this route with a rail replacement coach running on the last services of the day.
Derby/Stoke-on-Trent/Crewe
- Services will continue to run as normal.
Nottingham/Grantham/Skegness
- A near normal service will run on this route including the additional summer Saturday 8 coach HST services.
Nottingham/Newark Castle/Lincoln
- A near normal service will run on this route. Nottingham to Newark Castle will be served by one train per hour instead of two.
Liverpool to Nottingham
- A reduced service will run on this route.
Nottingham/Mansfield/Worksop
- A reduced service will run between Nottingham and Mansfield Woodhouse. Replacement coaches will run between Mansfield and Worksop.
Doncaster/Lincoln/Peterborough
- Replacement coaches will run on this route.
Lincoln to Grimsby and Cleethorpes
- Replacement coaches will run on this route.
Leicester to Nottingham (serving intermediate stations)
- Replacement coaches will run calling at Syston, Sileby and Barrow Upon Soar. Please note that direct trains will still run between Leicester, Loughborough, Beeston and Nottingham on the London/Nottingham route.
Derby to Nottingham and Newark Castle
- East Midlands Trains services will not run on this route. Rail Replacement coaches will run to Attenborough.
Nottingham to Norwich
- East Midlands Trains services will not run on this route.
Newark Northgate to Lincoln
- Services will not run on this route. A rail replacement coach service will run from Newark Northgate to Newark Castle where you can connect with train services to Lincoln.

Adam Piddington, Customer Experience Director for East Midlands Trains said:
“We’re disappointed that the RMT is intent on going ahead with this strike action.
“The fact is the union have raised issues about contracts which have been in place for six years, and which were introduced with their full agreement.
“We’re pleased we’ll be able to still run a good service for our customers on the three dates involved. Our timetables are now available at eastmidlandstrains.co.uk for customers to check ahead and plan their journeys.”
