Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado heading for Kingswear this Saturday

60163 Tornado will be back on the mainline this Saturday as it heads for Kingswear.

The A1 is hauling a Pathfinder Tours tour from Tame Bridge Parkway to Kingswear.

The tour will depart Tame Bridge Parkway at 05:57 behind a diesel locomotive, the train will then pass through Stourbridge Junction (06:33), Kidderminster (06:47), Droitwich Spa (07:03), Worcester Shrub Hill (07:16), Cheltenham Spa (07:55), Cam & Dursley (08:15), Bristol Parkway (08:38) and Bristol Temple Meads at 08:59.

Here, Tornado is added to the train and will depart at 09:33. From here, the train will pass through Taunton (10:32), Tiverton Parkway (11:07), Exeter St Davids (11:25), Dawlish Warren (11:37), Teignmouth (11:52), Paignton (12:24) and Kingswear at 13:00.

The return journey will see the locomotive depart at 16:44, and will then pass through Paignton (17:17), Dawlish (17:51), Exeter St Davids (18:07), Tiverton Parkway (18:25), Taunton (18:38), Bridgwater (19:13) and Bristol Temple Meads (19:50), where Tornado is taken off the train.

The diesel locomotive will take over, and will head via Cam & Dursley (21:05), Cheltenham Spa (21:31), Worcester Shrub Hill (21:57), Droitwich Spa (22:10), Kidderminster (22:29), Stourbridge Junction (22:43) before arriving into Tame Bridge Parkway at 23:24.

  1. Errr, can you get your days and dates together. One minute your saying it’s coming on Saturday, then you say it’s coming on Sunday. Make your mind up and proof read the text before it goes out!
