The team have been busy overhauling 7812 “Erlestoke Manor” and maintaining 7802 “Bradley Manor”.
7812 “Erlestoke Manor”
Needle-gunning has begun on the front dragbox, along with some components reattached to the frame, such as brake hanger brackets.
Work has also started on setting up the axleboxes by assembling alignment equipment.
The vacuum brake cylinder has received a clean and black gloss paint now coats the coupled wheels.
7802 “Bradley Manor”
Routine maintenance and tests were carried before making a start on hauling Severn Valley Railway‘s 2019 season trains.
7802 has been running fine in service so far, appearing in the SVR’s Spring Steam Gala.
