Steam locomotive 7029 Clun Castle will be back in steam on the mainline on Thursday 23rd May 2019.
The GWR Castle locomotive is hauling an excursion from Birmingham Moor Street to Worcester Shrub Hill.
The railtour departs Birmingham Moor Street at 17:42 behind a diesel locomotive.
The railtour will then pass through Bordesley (17:45 – 7029 is added here), Birmingham Snow Hill (18:12), Smethwick Galton Bridge (18:28), Stourbridge Junction (18:45), Kidderminster (18:58), Droitwich Spa (19:14) and Worcester Shrub Hill at 19:25.
The return trip will see 7029 Clun Castle depart Worcester Shrub Hill at 19:30, with the diesel locomotive in charge. The train will pass through Henwick (19:36 – 7029 now takes charge here), Kidderminster (20:29), Cradley Heath (20:50), Smethwick Galton Bridge (21:04), Birmingham Snow Hill (21:24) and Birmingham Moor Street (21:35).
