Steam locomotive 419 hauls first trains on Gloucestershire and Warwickshire

Standing in for the heritage line’s DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit), Mackintosh ‘Caley’ 0-4-4 tank No.419 will haul its first trains on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway tomorrow, Thursday 23rd of May.

Cotswold Festival of Steam – ‘Northern Soul’

419 visits the railway to take part in this weekend’s Cotswold Festival of Steam Gala alongside seven other engines.

Visitors to the railway tomorrow will see preparations for the gala starting this Saturday.

We hope anyone attending the gala enjoys their day/days out, we visited last year and it was a fantastic day out.
