Steam locomotive 63395, or 2238 as it is now known, has been rolled out in a brand new livery.

2238 is owned by the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group, and is operated on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

During winter maintenance, the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group decided to repaint the locomotive into North Eastern Railways livery, and renumber the locomotive 2238.

2238 is in its centenary year and was designed by Sir Vicent Raven.

Passengers can view the Q6 at the when it is in service at the NYMR’s Behind the Scenes event, during May Bank Holiday (4-6th May 2019).

The paintwork is immaculate and is a real credit to the team, being completed by the NELPG.
