The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway has announced that one of their resident locomotives will miss out on this weekend’s Spring Steam Gala.

BR Standard 4 No.75078 will not be running at the gala this weekend, this is due to ongoing winter maintenance which has not been completed in time for the gala.

However, S160 5820 has successfully passed its steam test and will replace 4F 43924 on its diagram on Sunday.

Additionally, 45596 Bahamas will be running the last service of the day on Saturday double headed with 45212, a rare opportunity to see tender to tender locomotives on the Worth Valley!
