The 82045 Locomotive Trust has released a short update on the work being completed on new build steam locomotive 82045.
82045’s pony truck axleboxes have gone to Osborne Engineering Ltd. in Cramlington for white metalling and partial assembly of the frame for the rear pony truck has started.
The valve chest cover bushes are also one of the components that require white metal lining in the bore.
The pressure relief valves for the cylinder end covers are currently being manufactured by Philip Oldfield Engineering.
Brake rigging components are still being manufactured, with progress on these heading in the right direction.
