The West Somerset Railway has announced their second guest for this year’s diesel gala.

The “Vintage Diesels to the Seaside II” gala will be held on 20th – 23rd June.

A Class 50 from the Class 50 Alliance has been agreed for hire for the event.

However, it has not yet been decided which one of their fleet will be able to attend, as several issues could yet affect the decision.

The class 50 will join former Laira depot stablemate Class 46 No. 46010 in a West Country diesels recreation.

It is expected that the railway will announce further visiting locos in the coming weeks.
