The Watercress Line has announced that children under 4 will soon be able to travel for free.
From February 2019, the heritage railway will be offering free travel on their standard service.
This change is part of the lines aim to encourage enthusiasm from the younger generation for the love of heritage railways,

What did the officials say?
Jason Houlders, General Manager at the Watercress Line, said:
“It is always a delight to see young children exploring the Watercress Line and learning more about its wonderful railway story.
“I hope that by making our standard travel free for those aged four and under, we can secure even more ‘little engineers’ for the future.”
