Network Rail is warning rail passengers of busier-than-usual trains this Saturday.
RMT strike action means most Northern services won’t run after 5 pm. Other operators’ services will be busier.
Extra staff will be on hand at Manchester Piccadilly station on Saturday to help passengers safely make their journeys to and from the station.
Passengers, especially those travelling to and from Manchester Piccadilly, are being offered these tips by Network Rail:

- Check before you travel at www.nationalrail.co.uk
- Know the times of your trains home
What did the officials say?
A spokesperson for Network Rail added:
“We are expecting trains and stations in Manchester to be very busy again this weekend so are urging passengers to be prepared.
“Most Northern services will stop running after 5pm on Saturday due to RMT strike action, meaning other operators’ trains will be busier than usual.
“We therefore urge train customers to check before you travel at www.nationalrail.co.uk, plan your journeys in advance, and know the times of your trains home.
“Network Rail and train companies are working as one team to get people from A to B as safety and swiftly as possible.”

So other train operators including Transpennine Express won’t be affected but are subject to become more busier. Whilst Northern are to continue with its propaganda strike dilemma with the RMT. Both Northern and RMT are becoming a joke. This is why the railways in the North of England is falling apart because of the endless strikes that is to continue throughout 2019 and beyond. Rather have the government to take over and sort out the problems on what passengers are left facing with daily when traveling on Northern services.
